Got rejection number thirty-four today after 93 days from Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show. They rejected Ayla Athena using their usual form letter.
What is their form letter?
Why, here is it:
Thank you for offering your story to Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show. We're sorry to tell you that we will not be using it; you are free to submit it elsewhere.
Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year!
Right?
This is an added pleasure to the feeling of wonder and joy I'm currently experiencing with some kind of fucking stomach flu/bug/demon that's making me the happy go-lucky sort my friends all rave about. It's like the cherry on top of a shit sunday. Baby.
Sorry...
That makes the third rejection for Ayla Athena Like Skin I think that Ayla Athena still has legs. Unfortunatley, those legs will now be walking the trail of rejection with the US Postal Service as I've exhausted most of the paying online places that I think it would be a good fit for.
So... there you go.
I only have one more story still out this year. Assuming it doesn't get rejected in the next four days, tune in for my end of the year wrap up where I take you down my own personal trail of tears.
This is Colin, out.
