The following is a message received on the morning of March 18th, 2002 in regards to a tutorial written for Webmonkey four years prior.

Oh my,

While I wish I could tell you that you have shattered my fragile little ego and that now all I can think to do is to crawl into my bed and cry but that simply is not the case. I can think of two reasons for this: one, I could care less whether anyone really learns to script because it would just provide more competition for me in what appears to be my chosen career and two, because it was written in my spare time over four years ago to be posted on a free website to help people. It's like blaming the Red Cross for the fights that broke out over food they've airdropped into starving areas, they tried to help but fuck it.

Still, I must thank you for your brief and entertaining message. It is people like you who insist on sending email like yours that keep life interesting because you know that there aren't just people who don't like something but people who feel the need to try and inflict some sort of pain on others for their own lack of understanding. You have failed, of course, but it's funny all the same.
